In the top photo it looks like everything turned out blurry. I'm not sure what you used for shutter speed, but perhaps using a higher shutter speed would have worked or stabilizing the camera somehow.
The bottom photo doesn't look too bad but when I look at it in full-size I can see that the very back book is a little blurry.
I've been looking at your assignments........you are definitely thinking well as a new photographer - your eye is so important! Loved the coffee shot!!
