I love coffee, so naturally I like the bottom photo. I would recommend experimenting with that photo though. Maybe try moving the coffee to a different part of the frame or something like that. Something a little more interesting than where I would normally see a cup of coffee in real life.
The top photo just isn't that interesting. I would just try a different subject. With that said, the lighting and contrast and everything looks good.
